​This 2022 program, taught by Alcona Elementary teacher Brooke Green and Detroit ceramics artist Ricky Blanding, was for elementary-age children, as it is annually. (Saturday Art welcomes anyone age 15 or older all year round.) 

​Brooke taught children in grades 1 through 3 in five classes. Ricky taught children grades 4 through 6 during five classes.  

In 2023 and 2024, summer art has become part of the after-school program, which offers other classes as well as art. In June 2024, kids will have full-day sessions of four classes, each about 1.5 hours, plus lunch. Sign up with the Alcona Elementary School office, 989-736-6413.
