The Harrisville Pocket Park, a landscaped area on East Main Street between the railroad tracks and the former Richard's Pharmacy, officially opened July 31, 2021. The park is a place to rest and play for all ages, a site for small music presentations and a reason for travelers to stop in Harrisville.
Commemorative pavers are again on sale until August 31, 2022, to pay for a maintenance fund for the park. Donations in any amount are also welcome. To buy a brick or make a donation in any amount, you may do so through the form below or through the mail. Because Inspiration Alcona is a federally recognized 501(c)3 organization, your donation is tax-deductible as allowed under applicable laws. |
Brick pavers come in three versions: with text only, with clip art engravings or with a child's own handprint. They come in two sizes, 4 inches by 8 inches ($85), or 8 inches square ($115). An 8 by 8 brick with a child's handprint is $145. Add $6 for any clip art engraving. New pavers will be placed randomly throughout the park's walking area.
To buy a brick by mail, print the form below, fill it out and mail it with your check to Inspiration Alcona, PO Box 506, Lincoln, MI 48742.
You may also make a donation in any amount by mailing a check to the same address. Please write "Pocket Park" on the memo line so we'll get your money to the right account.
