Singer-songwriter and author
Whit Hill, who graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in dance, is a songwriter and lead singer for Whit Hill and the Postcards. She lives in Nashville with her husband, Al, also a musician.
Whit's latest album, "I Dug It Up," is a tribute to her six-year-old obsession with metal detecting. She is, as she says, "a proud, card-carrying member of the Middle Tennessee Metal Detecting Club" and writes about her adventures under the blog title "Dirt Girl Unleashed."
Her book, "Not About Madonna," tells of her time at U-M, where for nine months she was the roommate of Madonna Louise Ciccone, later known as just Madonna.
Whit's three albums have all been critically acclaimed. Learn more about her at whithill.com.
