Jacquelyn Mitchard is the author of a dozen novels, seven young adult novels and four children's books, in addition to a collection of her columns from her early days as a newspaperwoman, "The Rest of Us," and a memoir, "Mother Less Child."
Her "The Deep End of the Ocean" was the first book selected for Oprah's Book Club and also was the basis for the film of the same name starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Treat Williams and Whoopi Goldberg.
Her latest novel, "Two if by Sea," was published in 2016. Her 2007 young adult novel "Now You See Her" is set at a fine arts academy deep in the Michigan woods.
Jackie is a professor of creative writing at the Vermont College of Fine Arts and a contributing editor at More magazine. She is an active speaker and, of course, continues to write. In her early career she worked at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Jackie lives with her husband and eight of nine children on Cape Cod.
