Water|WAYS art exhibit

October 6 - 31, 2018
Alcona County Library
312 W. Main Street, Harrisville

One of Michigan's most valuable resources is its bountiful water. The lakes, rivers and streams of Michigan provide endless recreational opportunities in all seasons to the state's residents and visitors, and they are essential for agriculture, commercial fishing and industry. We want to celebrate Michigan's waterways with an art exhibition that depicts the many ways water impacts our lives.

Adults from Alcona, Alpena, Iosco, Montmorency, Oscoda or Presque Isle counties may enter. A second juried show for middle and high school students is open to residents of Alcona County only. The third show, not juried, is open to elementary students from Alcona County.

The show opens with a reception and awards presentation at 2 p.m. October 6 at the library. The juror for the show is Shelly Hendrick Kasprzycki, president and CEO of the Michigan Humanities Council.
