with Laura Whitesides Host

This year Laura returns with another adventure in water media, called "What's My Line?" After base layers are laid down, students will mask sections with different tools, including fine line masking fluid tips to create thin elements. More painting and enhancing will follow with subsequent layers, creating works such as "Spring Trio," a detail of which is at the top of this page, or "Effervescence Patterns," on the first slide. Line elements will be a prominent creative element in this workshop.

Laura will provide the specialty items needed, including contact paper, fine line masking applicators and fluid, Exacto knives, and stencils for masking, as well as watercolor pencils, texture items, fluid acrylics and inks. Participants will get a further supply list of ordinary items in August.
