Art and music workshops inspired by the
woods and waters of northeast Michigan
Come to the second annual Alcona Arts Retreat, on
the weekend after Labor Day in beautiful, rural Alcona
County, just south of Alpena along Michigan's Sunrise Coast.
The retreat offers six hours of class time daily Friday through Sunday in such disciplines as painting, fiber
arts, photography and music. Because we limit most classes to about a dozen students, one-on-one contact with our experienced instructors is assured.

Party like it's 1800 at Inspiration Alcona's new
community dances. Contra dance is part line dance,
part square dance, totally fun.The first big dance is
May 10 at the Lincoln Senior Center. This could be a
monthly event if you bring enough friends. $5 each.
