Alcona GospelFest

Over 200 people came to sing or listen at the 2015 inaugural Alcona Gospelfest at Harrisville United Methodist Church. The choir numbered 34, including soloists, plus four musicians and there were 160 people in the audience.

We’re planning even more fun for 2016.

Alcona Arts Retreat

Alcona Writers Retreat

October 2016

Two prominent Michigan writers of fiction and memoirs led students to discover their own stories and how to tell them.

Lake Huron Discovery Tour

Oct. 7 – 10, 2016

All along the shore from Standish to Mackinaw City, special events will be celebrating the Columbus Day holiday.

Inspiration Alcona will offer short painting lessons for kids and adults, as well as cosponsor showings at the Harrisville library of the short film “The Teacher and the Student,” written and produced by Alcona resident Mary Ellen Jones.
